St. Philip Neri is back to school and very active. In fact, so active, the Falcons welcomed The Oklahoma City Energy Football Club (soccer) to all PE classes last Monday. Students interacted with star player, Reed McKenna demonstrating drills, scrimmaging one another in the fun game of futsal and learning more about The Energy.
The Energy will host their last game of regular season on Saturday, September 12th at 7:00pm. St. Philip Neri School will be in attendance (see Mrs. Hanes for ticket details) and perform “God Bless America” at halftime. Currently, The Energy is rated #1 in their conference and will automatically be entered into their league’s playoffs.
McKenna complimented the school citing that their Community Relations Team travels to a lot of districts and our school children were some of the best behaved kids they have interacted with this season.

After Reed’s juggling demonstration, the midfielder taught the basic skillsets of soccer to the students: use inside of foot for precision shots and laces for power. The kids noted the remarks and were off to play! |
