Oklahoma’s severe weather in April did not take the “fun” out of St. Philip Neri’s Fun Run.
The annual fundraiser is full of activities outside the classroom ranging from dodge ball, jump rope contests, musical chairs, and hacky sack hockey. Thanks to the school’s new Family Life Center, the events were housed inside as Midwest City fended off flash flooding in the area.
Students are encouraged to raise money individually to participate in the day. The amount collected this year was $7,000. The money will be used to for school building renovations over the summer break.
