MRS.TENER's NEwslettersNews & Announcements
Tomorrow night Father Wood and I will be hosting a reception to share information about the Tax Credit Scholarship. Taxpayers in the state of Oklahoma can receive a tax credit on their Oklahoma taxes when they contribute to this scholarship fund. This is an easy way to donate without it costing a lot of money out of your pocket. This is a tax credit–not a deduction–up to $2000 depending on your marital status. You do not have to itemize to claim the credit. The qualifying dollar amount you give will be taken directly off the taxes you may owe or will be added to the amount of your refund. Please feel free to join us (adults only) tomorrow night (Thursday, November 18) at 6:30 pm in the Activity Center.
Two tickets remain unclaimed from the Halloween Trunk or Treat: #697410 for the Blessed Wreath and #697416 for the Read and Play Basket. I have listed the costume contest winners below–for real this time!
The Game Truck (reward for the chocolate sales) will be here on Friday afternoon, November 12. The king and queen of chocolate will be announced at morning assembly this week.
We are still addressing some of the kinks in our new dismissal procedure. I sent an email earlier today outlining modifications to the process in the south parking lot. If you have not already, please see that email. Thanks for your help in making this transition.
Students may dress out of uniform on Friday if they have had no uniform infractions since October 1. Please remember as always: no spaghetti straps, no tank tops, no inappropriate sayings, no short shorts, no crop tops, no jeggings, no leggings, no yoga pants. If you have a doubt about what your child wishes to wear, please don’t let him/her wear it. Children may wear their shirts untucked on this day.
I will be sending home visor tags on Friday and will also send an email with maps to clarify. In general, we have broken dismissal by kindergarten/PK, 1st through 4th, and 5th through 8th. Families with children in multiple groups must pay special attention to their tag which identifies the parking lot assignment. Based on what building your child is in and the age of your child, your assignment may be different than you expect.
